Bali
Ubud’s rice terraces and temples meet coastal days further south — Bali is Indonesia’s most bookable island reset.
Most first trips split time between Ubud (culture, rice fields, yoga circuits) and a coastal stretch — Seminyak, Canggu, or quieter east-coast pockets. Temples, waterfalls, and day trips to Nusa islands fill the middle. Scooters are common; hire carefully and wear a helmet.
Dry season roughly runs April–October; wet-season mornings can still work if you plan indoor or spa time for afternoon storms. Nyepi (Day of Silence) shuts the island — check dates before booking.
Our Bali escape deal bundles Ubud and coast ideas. Read the don’t-miss Bali experiences post for temples, boat days, and how to split Ubud with the coast — then add Thailand or Vietnam pages if you are building a wider Southeast Asia loop.
