> Where to leave your bags in Dubai after check-out: your hotel, the airport's left-luggage desks and city drop-off points, with prices and hours checked in October 2026.

Most Dubai hotels want you out by late morning, while many flights leave in the evening or overnight. That leaves a gap of several hours with your suitcase in tow. This guide covers your options for luggage storage in Dubai: asking your hotel, the airport's own left-luggage desks, and a booked spot in the city. It also covers how to decide, and what to do with the free afternoon. Prices and opening hours were checked in October 2026, so confirm them before you go.

- **Your options:** your hotel's luggage room, the left-luggage desks at Dubai International (DXB), or a bag-drop spot in the city booked online.
- **In the city:** [Radical Storage](https://radicalstorage.tpo.li/fKyCFAnQ) lists Dubai drop-off points in cafés, hotels, offices and restaurants, plus one at Al Ghubaiba Metro Station, with prices from AED 25 a day. Opening hours differ for each location.
- **At the airport:** DXB offers short-term storage 24 hours a day in Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The airport lists AED 35 to AED 50 for up to 12 hours, depending on the terminal and the size of the bag.
- **Best for:** an evening or overnight flight after a late-morning check-out.

## Start with your hotel

Ask at reception before you pay for anything. If the hotel will hold your bags until you leave, you may not need another service. If it can only do that until a certain time, or not at all, the options below fill the gap. Whichever you choose, check the hours on the day.

## Luggage storage at Dubai airport

The airport's left-luggage desks are the simplest choice if you plan to spend the afternoon near the airport, or if you are connecting between flights and want to leave the terminal. Dubai Airports lists short-term storage 24 hours a day at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (October 2026):

- **Terminal 1:** AED 40 for up to 12 hours for a standard bag (up to 21 by 24 by 11 inches) and AED 50 for larger or non-standard bags or valuables. The desk is run by dnata Baggage Services on the Arrivals level, near Boots Pharmacy and Etisalat.
- **Terminal 2:** the same AED 40 and AED 50 rates, also run by dnata Baggage Services.
- **Terminal 3:** AED 35 for a standard bag and AED 40 for larger or non-standard ones, for up to 12 hours. Emirates Left Luggage is on the Arrivals level near Exit 1, behind Boots Pharmacy.

The catch is the location. Storing your bags at the airport means you have to come back to the airport to collect them, so it helps most when your day is built around the trip out.

## Luggage storage in the city

If you would rather spend the last afternoon in Downtown, the Marina, Jumeirah or the old creek districts, a drop-off point in the city makes more sense. You book online, take the bags to a nearby partner location, and collect them when you are ready to head to the airport. [Radical Storage's Dubai page](https://radicalstorage.tpo.li/fKyCFAnQ) lists locations that include a café at Al Ghubaiba Metro Station, a hotel on Jumeirah Beach, an office on Sheikh Zayed Road, a restaurant on Al Khor Street and a spot near Bay Square, with prices from AED 25 a day. The page also shows each location's opening hours: some are open 24 hours, while others close at 10 pm or midnight. A cheaper price does not help if the shop is closed when you come back.

The listing at Al Ghubaiba Metro Station suits travellers who plan to use the Dubai Metro. Our [Dubai on a budget](/blog/dubai-on-a-budget-luxury) guide covers metro fares and the Nol card, and the Red Line links DXB Terminals 1 and 3 with Downtown.

### How to choose

- **Plan the route backwards.** Work out when you need to leave for the airport, then pick a drop-off point on that route, so you do not cross town for your bags.
- **Check opening hours against your flight.** Evening and overnight flights mean you need a place that is open when you return.
- **Ask what the price covers.** The booking page shows the price for your number and size of bags. The airport desks quote different rates by terminal and bag size.
- **Keep the essentials with you.** Passport, boarding pass, phone charger, cash and medicines go in a small day bag.

## What to do with a free afternoon

Once your bags are sorted, you can use the time properly. Here are a few things that work well on foot or by metro:

- **Old Dubai.** Wander the wind-tower lanes of Al Fahidi, then cross Dubai Creek on an abra, the traditional wooden boat. Our [budget guide](/blog/dubai-on-a-budget-luxury) lists the 1-dirham fare.
- **A mall for the air conditioning.** In the summer heat, with daytime highs around 41 to 42°C, a long lunch in Dubai Mall is an easy way to pass a few hours.
- **A beach stop.** Public beaches along Jumeirah are free, so a swim before the flight needs no booking.

**Stay connected:** to have mobile data from the moment you land, you can buy a [UAE eSIM from Airalo](https://airalo.tpo.li/PemeQct5) before you fly and install it at home. Check first that your phone is unlocked and supports eSIM. More on our [travel essentials](/travel-essentials) page.
